TO ALL NFs AND COMMISSION DIRECTORS

Enclosed you will find the final version 7.1 of the new WKF Kumite Rules, that has been approved by the WKF Executive Committee in Malaysia. We enclose the versions in English, French and Spanish together with a summary of the changes also in the 3 languages, for a better understanding of the scope and nature of the changes. These new Kumite Rules will enter in force worldwide next 1^st of January of 2012 and are of compulsory application by all National Federation as defined in the WKF Statutes.

This has been a project that started in January 2010 and that has been completed after almost 2 years and much work and effort. The WKF has allocated to it significant resources, and a multidisciplinary working group has spent to it much time, all the components adding their precious experience and expertise; in my opinion and in the one of all those who have participated in the project, these new Rules offer an immense potential for the future development of the Kumite competition.
